North Bay Scarborough

Perfect for February & March beach walks

A long sandy beach, award blue flag status & dog friendly.  The facilities are excellent with toilets and cafes on the esplanade. Turn left and enjoy open spaces with plenty of space for dogs and kids to burn off energy. Enjoy seeing the colourful beach huts (which you can rent). Views over the bay to the ruins of Scarborough Castle are stunning, keep your eyes open and look out to sea and you might see a seal bobbing about or sunbathing on the rocks by the sea life centre.  If you plan to make a full day of your trip to Scarborough, I recommend Ask Italian in South Bay. With views over the harbour, you can sit on the decking with dogs and enjoy a pizza and drink. Its just a twenty minute walk away, but you could catch the bus inside for fun!

North Bay is TOFY's go to beach. Less than one hour in the car, clean, unspoilt, with cafes on the front.

Planning to visit us in the summer months then my top tips to avoid the crowds and live like a local is to plan to arrive at 4pm. Dexter's Surf Shop offers regular kayaking, SUP and surfing sessions into the evening.

I really hope you enjoy your trip to Scarborough North Bay.
